Model thesauri contents as RDF schema relations

Bob Wielinga and others have proposed a migration from existing thesauri to ontologies using the following path:

• Disambiguate any text terms in the thesaurus
• Constrain possible value sets where possible (e.g. for metadata fields).
• Introduce concept identifiers for terms
• Convert term hierarchy to concept hierarchy

This method has been exemplified using the AAT, although its effctiveness and efficiency have not been evaluated, lessons have been learned about the knowledge representations.
