SWAD-Europe
Extracting Semantic Information from Colloquial XML
The SWAD-Europe
workplan describes the structure of the overall project. This page
reports on the outputs of the activity on XML and Semantic Web
Integration research
prototypes (WP6).
This workpackage builds on the findings of WP5,
Integration with XML. It provides an approach to defining mappings
between an ontology covering a subject area and a schema defining an
XML
document. This workpackage has developed a tool to allow this mapping
to be defined graphically, supporting Web Ontology Language (OWL) and
W3C XML Schema 1.0.
Software
- Mapping Tool - Containing Java source
code, a jar file containing the application classes, an Ant build
file and configuration file (build.properties). Requires Java 1.4.2 or
later, the Jena
2.1 libraries and ant
1.6.1 or later.
- Full details on how to run the application are in the README file. In short:
- Unzip the file mapper.zip.
- Edit build.properties to reflect the location of the Jena
libraries and any HTTP proxy settings you may require.
- Invoke ant without any arguments - the default target
runs the application from the file mapper-dist.jar.
